It is estimated that for cooking purposes,about 3 billion people worldwide use solid fuels, including dung, coal, wood, charcoal, and crop wastes. In Kenya, charcoal is used by 82% of urban households and 34% in rural areas.
A Water and Energy For Food (WE4F) project
In December 2021, we conducted a capacity building exercise to factory workers on water & energy efficiency in the tea sector, bringing together workers from KTDA’s Region 2 factories. The training was successful with 33 attendants from various factories in the region.
